NOTICE OF TERMINATION - Kad Mesra - RealRewards Programme

To all Kad Mesra-RealRewards members,

PETRONAS is pleased to inform you of the launch of our new PETRONAS Mesra card programme on 1 May 2009. This programme replaces the current Kad Mesra-RealRewards programme managed by Electronic Commerce Technology Sdn Bhd (ECT/RealRewards).

Further to the above, we hereby give you one (1) month notice of termination of the Kad Mesra-RealRewards Programme effective from 1st April 2009. Please take note that your Kad Mesra-RealRewards will not be accepted at any of our PETRONAS service stations and RealRewards merchants from 1 May 2009 onwards.

For you to be a member of the new PETRONAS Mesra Loyalty Programme, you can immediately receive your new card by completing the PETRONAS Mesra Loyalty Programme Application / Points Transfer / Redemption form (“Application Form”) available at all PETRONAS stations beginning 20 April 2009.

To ease the transition of your Points to the new programme, you have the following choices:

Option 1 : Points Transfer

  1. Transfer all your accumulated points to the new PETRONAS Mesra Loyalty Programme;
  2. Please note that only Points earned from PETRONAS stations may be transferred to the new PETRONAS Mesra Loyalty Programme;
  3. You only have to complete the Application Form and submit it to your nearest PETRONAS station latest by 31 May 2009; and
  4. Points Transfer requires at least ninety (90) days to process and no redemption will be allowed during the said period.

OR

Option 2 : Points Redemption

  1. Redeem your accumulated Points for selected items available from the RealRewards catalogue by submitting an Application Form to your nearest PETRONAS station latest by 31 May 2009; or
  2.  Redeem your accumulated Points for items available in the RealRewards catalogue via the following channels latest by 31 May 2009:
  • RealRewards redemption outlet located at Carrefour, Wangsa Maju; or
  • RealRewards website (www.realrewards.com.my); or
  • RealRewards hotline (03 - 8023 2626).
  1. Please take note that your Points balance (if any) will not be transferred to the new PETRONAS Mesra Loyalty Programme. You are advised to fully redeem your total accumulated Points.

Terms & Conditions

  • Issuance of points for the Kad Mesra-RealRewards programme shall end by 30 April 2009;
  • As of 1 May 2009 onwards, Kad Mesra-RealRewards will no longer be accepted at all PETRONAS service stations and RealRewards merchants;
  • Failure to submit your Application Form latest by 31 May 2009 will result in the cancellation of all your accumulated Points;
  • Valid transfer of Points will be subject to the following:
  1. Accuracy and verification of members’ data provided by ECT/RealRewards;
  2. Exclusion of Points that are deemed fraudulent or suspicious under the existing Kad Mesra-RealRewards Terms and Conditions; and
  3. Other relevant provisions under the existing Kad Mesra-RealRewards programme Terms and Conditions shall also apply.
  • For Points earned from other RealRewards merchants (besides PETRONAS), you may opt to transfer the Points to ECT/Real Rewards by submitting Kad RealRewards application form to ECT/Real Rewards latest by 31 May 2009 failing which the said Points will be cancelled. For your information, the new PETRONAS Mesra Loyalty Programme will be wholly owned and managed by PDB and does not have any association or connection with ECT and/or RealRewards.
